A Bar is available for all Memorial Hall functions

The Wolverley Memorial Project bar is up and running for all events held in the Memorial Hall.

We have our bar facility back up and running and can offer a bar to whoever needs one. The bar is being run by the Wolverley Memorial Project and will be run by volunteers with all profits going to the charity. The prices of their drinks are also very competitive.

Enjoy some delicious homemade cakes and some very special mulled wine and mulled cider.

Our beautiful Christmas hamper is full of homemade Christmas treats will be raffled that afternoon, so be sure to buy a ticket to win this luxury Christmas prize.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without carols round the tree, and we have a lovely tree, donated by our kind friends at Bodenham Arboretum. Come and sing with us at 4pm, sip your hot mulled wine and sing a carol or two, knowing that Christmas will be a little bit more special.

Our Handmade Christmas Craft Fair is open at Wolverley Memorial Hall from 11am until 5pm, on Sunday 10th December, with carols round the tree at 4pm. This is another event brought to you by Wolverley Memorial Project.

“Wolverley Wobbler” is Festival Winner! 2016

“Wolverley Wobbler” was the winning name chosen for the specially brewed ale to be showcased at the 2nd Wolverley Beer Festival. The organisers, Wolverley Memorial Project, were inundated with entries in the competition, and the successful winner was Andy Painter, from Kidderminster. In winning, Andy receives two free passes to the three day festival as well as his beer name on the cask of ale.

The beer has been specially brewed by Pig Iron Brewing Co., from the Black Country, and will be available for everyone to try at the Wolverley Beer Festival which takes place from 23-25 September.

For those who entered and weren’t successful, along with anyone who wants to attend the festival, it’s not too late! You can just come along on any of the three days, but the best way to attend is to pre-register online at www.wolverleymemorial.org and take advantage of the early bird offer. Just £15 buys a wristband for entry to the event for ALL three days, together with a Limited Edition Souvenir Glass and Token Card valid for 10 half pints – more than enough to sample many of the fantastic range of beers and ciders.

The festival is the second for Wolverley, following a hugely successful event last year. This year will be bigger and better, with an extra day added. The festival starts at 6pm on Friday 23rd September, and runs on Saturday 12pm-11pm, and Sunday 12pm-6pm. There’s live music throughout each day, featuring some great local bands and musicians. Also, there will be over 30 local beers and ciders, including the special “Wolverley Wobbler” ale.

The festival is in Wolverley Memorial Hall and is a fundraising event run by the Wolverley memorial Project, aimed at the regeneration of the memorial site for the benefit of today’s community and future generations.

So don’t forget to pre-register, it’s the best way to enjoy this year’s Wolverley Beer Festival, so come along and try the “Wolverley Wobbler”!

Spare a moment and vote for a local Wolverley community facility

Provision of water and a toilet will make our new allotment a very special and truly inclusive community facility, allowing children and the less able to join the outdoor experience of growing their own fruit and vegetables. We have transformed a field into a thriving allotment in less than a year.

Images and Memories of Wolverley

We would welcome photographs with a short statement of what that particular image means to you, they could be old photographs of special occasions, buildings, trees, a landscape, your family, loves lost, anything that reflects the beauty and importance of our village. Could you please email your images to wolverleymemorialproject@gmail.com or post them on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/wolverleymemorialproject by Sunday 12th April.
